This diploma trains students to perform objective and subjective refraction, measure visual acuity, detect common refractive errors, assist optometrists in clinical refraction and prepare spectacle prescriptions. Graduates are prepared for roles in clinics, eye camps and optical outlets.
1 year (typical); can be structured as 1 year full-time or 2 semesters. Some institutes run 6–12 month accelerated certificates; our diploma follows a full practical schedule (lab + clinical attachments).
Minimum secondary school (10+2) with Science preferred; equivalent mature applicants may be considered.
Continuous assessment, practical competency checks and final theory exam. Certificate issued by Future Vision Center; pathway advice provided for external credentialing where applicable.
